    COMPANY

    JAKED is an Italian company founded in 2008


    It made a clamorous debut in the swimming world by introducing the Jaked "Super-body J01", a revolutionary suit with two innovative features: (1) an advanced technological design using thermo-welding to eliminate seams and offer maximum comfort and (2) a high performance, 100% polyurethane-based fabric to reduce drag. The Jaked "Super-body J01" transformed the world of competitive swimming and thrilled fans by setting unprecedented performance standards. At the world Aquatics Championships in Rome in August 2009, approximately 68% of the competing athletes wore a Jaked suit. A total of 17 world records were set by athletes in Jaked suits across various competitive categories. Also, 37 out of a total 104 individual medals were won by swimmers wearing Jaked suits and 17 of these were gold medallists. In 2012, a new phase began with the opening of the first Jaked franchises. This marked a new direction with regard to Jaked products and corporate strategy. The aim was to expand beyond the world of swimming. Beside swim suits and accessories, new collections were added in the areas of triathlon, running, fitness and general active and beach wear. All these collections reflect the company's continuing passion and constantly advancing technological expertise.

    Cutting-edge textile engineering and  constructive technology, two principles underlining the entire range of Jaked competition swimsuits. The same which already featured in the first Jaked swimsuit, the “Super Body J01”.


    It was 2008, and Jaked entered swimming history during the Bejing Olympics with an innovative unprecedented swimsuit. Then,as now, on this basis, the entire competition line begins with the research,passes through the development and prototyping, to testing in the pool. With the creation of a diverse range of competition swimsuits, in order to cater to all styles.


    TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY

    Jaked uses Smart fabrics, exclusive fabrics which represent the cutting–edge in textiles applied to sport. For each competition swimsuit the R&D Department at Jaked develops a different product in the laboratory. 

    Based on the most advanced nanotechnologies it designs a different architecture of the garment. To conclude, the swimsuit is enriched by finishes that make the most of the kinetics of surfaces to boost performance.

    THE “ACQUAsuACQUA” EFFECT

    All Jaked textiles undergo the exclusive ACQUAsuACQUA treatment developed by J-Lab. This process is able to establish an ordered structure of micro-grooves on the fabric which are ideal to reduce the contact time between the water molecules and the surface of the garment.


    This helps water dispersion (asymmetrically and in different directions); to reduce its absorption by the textile; to improve the “sliding” movement of the swimsuit. The water molecules remain on the external surface of the garment, creating a film which helps the ACQUAsuACQUA slide effect!
